November 2021: The PDSP organized the Aden Consultations Group AC monthly meeting during 23-24 November, 2021. The meeting was held under the title, “Political, Economic and Security Developments and their impact on the city of Aden”. The meeting was held in light of the rapid events and developments that the city of Aden is witnessing. The aim of the meeting include: Review of the three reports of the three teams in the group political, economic, social, clarifying the level of implementation, achievement and follow-up in the work plans; Present and read technical reports and working papers prepared by some members of the group on the role of the free zone in the national economy, and highlight the anniversary of the Global Declaration Against Violence against Woman; General discussion among the group about the public auction of the Central Bank of Yemen, Aden. The main outcome include enrich the working paper entitled: “Woman’s Right to a safe life free from violence and gender-based discrimination”, address the local laws that excluded and marginalized women at all levels and social, cultural, economic, political, and other fields, and compared them with the conditions of woman in different periods of time, shed light on the issues and rights of woman in Yemen, specifically the south, and keeping abreast of latest developments of woman’s rights and issues at the global scene. Form of a temporary small committee consisting of five members from the group. The committee will hold closed meetings to envision a reformulation of the working paper entitled: “The Free Zone and its National Economic Role for the City of Aden”
