During the first session, the members discussed the political developments in Yemeni, including the statement of the UN envoy to Yemen before the Security Council on January 26, 2017, the statement of the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs on the humanitarian situation in Yemen, and the report of the International Crisis Group Yemen’s al-Qaeda: expanding the base.
